This is a vinyl LP pressing of Free the Mind (Original Music From the Film) by Johann Johannsson. The Icelandic composer released his soundtrack album on November 27, 2015, through the Redbird record label. This compilation LP contains Johannsson's score to the hit movies Prisoners and The Theory of Everything, which Jóhann was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Score and won a Golden Globe for Best Original Score.

Throughout his career, Johann has composed in a wide array of films including, Prisoners (2013), Sicario (2015), Arrival (2016), and James Marsh's The Theory of Everything (2014). He was a music and sound consultant on Mother!, directed by Darren Aronofsky in 2017.
