This is a 2022 reissue vinyl LP pressing of Rise Vision Comin by Haki R Madhubuti. African-American author, educator, and poet, as well as a publisher and operator of the black-themed bookstore. He is particularly recognized in connection with the founding in 1967 of Third World Press, considered the oldest independent black publishing house in the U.S.

Among the honours and recognition, Madhubuti has received are the Distinguished Writers Award, Middle Atlantic Writers Association (1984), American Book Award (1991); African-American Arts Alliance (1993), and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
